Cassini
SUCCESS! - June 30, 2004
The
Cassini Probe successfully entered into an orbit around Saturn
today, beginning what will be a 4 year tour of Saturn and it's
moons, circling just 12,000 miles above the cloud covered surface
of the planet. We look forward to the images that will result
from this feat, as well as the scientific data that is sent
back.. Remember to check back in January, when Cassini will
launch the Titan probe! |

Spaceship
One Completes Mission - June 21, 2004
Spaceship
One completed their mission to be the first non-government ship
to enter into space! With a 'major' glitch in the system the
ship was still able to break the deep space barrior by a mere
400 feet earning the pilot the first set of 'astronaut wings'
ever to be awarded to a civilian.. This is just the beginning! |

Helping
Hands: Training Monkeys to assist the Disabled - June
17, 2004
Yes folks, it's a "Monkey College" located in Boston,
Mass. This organization has trained 93 monkeys to assist the
disabled and the paralyzed with every day life. An excellent
idea given that opposeable thumb that a monkey possesses it
is able to assist in ways that a dog cannot. Monkeys have been
kept as pets for some time now although many advocates wouldn't
well.. advocate it.. my grandmother even had one for a time
(a lloonngg time ago!).. My question is though.. hasn't anyone
seen "The Planet of the Apes"? or maybe the question
should be.. Did these guys see "Planet of the Apes"
one too many times? ok.. so I'm on the fence with this one..
great idea.. should prove to be extremely helpful to those that
need them.. but doesn't life imitate art? |

Wild
2
and Nasa does it again with some awesome photo's of the Wild
2 comet. It seriously does look like giant footprints on the
side of this rock.. This particular comet is astounding everyone,
it's not your typical dusty ice ball, but a gravity defying,
pock marked, non-dusty marvel that is not to be missed. |

New
Zealand Meteorite - June 13, 2004
A meteorite crashed thru the ceiling of a home in Auckland New
Zealand. The grapefruit sized rock has already begun a bidding
war for the piece of the big dark and set off a huge search
for more of the precious stones. We will attempt to contact
the home-owners to see if we can get them to donate it to us,
although the lure of easy money I'm sure will take precidence
over our investigation. We were able to find this picture, however,
on TVNZ.co.nz! |

SpaceShipOne
set to takeoff - June 21
The
first commercial spaceship is set to take off June 21st from
the Mojave desert. We will be following this story extremely
closely over the next couple of weeks here so keep checking
back.. This is HUGE people, finally a chance
for the non-space traveler (not the typical astronaut variety
or the abduction variety) to make it to the great big dark!
This event is already being referred to as the "Woodstock"
of space travel, if you can't make it there, follow the developments
here! |

Cassini
due to flyby Pheobe - June 11
The
Cassini spaceprobe is due to take the closest photos ever of
Saturn's moon "Pheobe". Pheobe is not your usual Saturn
moon, orbiting in the opposite direction from the majority of
Saturn's 30+ other moons it is significantly darker in color.
We here at Taken by Aliens.com are looking forward to seeing
these new photos and will certainly post them here as soon as
they become available... |

their shots here.. Keep an eye out for some extra added viewing
opportunites, and keep a half eye out for the UFOs. If you spot

UFO's
- Sightings over Campeche, Mexico
we've
all read the news reports about the infrared video footage taken
over Campeche Mexico of unidentified flying objects
that were invisible to the naked eye, yet recorded on infrared
video by the Military. What the news reports didn't include
was the fact that this area is full of ancient Mayan ruins!
The Mayans who are reknowned for their astrological carvings
and study of the universe around them. Is this just a coincidence?
You can view some excellent photo's and drawings of the ruins
at
this website. |

| Entry
Denied - Las Vegas, NV - February 20 - Several dozen
(maybe many more) automobile keyless-entry systems failed in the
Las Vegas area on Feb. 20. This remains unexplained, but we will
continue to look for the reason why, this is just too much of
a coincidence. Radio wave interference? Something causing the
batteries to become disabled?? Any opinions out there? Shoot us
an email and let us know what you think! |
